Back by popular demand, LSGRA has chartered a bus to take you for a ride to the STATE PENN! Take our Rodeo Roadtrip and ride in comfort to the Angola Prison Rodeo. See itenerary below:
7 AM - Early Bird Welcome - JohnPauls 940 Elysian Fields Ave.
Enjoy drink specials and breakfast snacks while you wait
to depart.
830 AM - Board the Bus. While en route, enjoy bingo, raffles and
cocktails as well as country/western music to set the
mood.
10 AM - Quick Break in Gonzales - Smoker's Delight, Coffee
and more!
12:30 - Arrive at PRISON! Brouse through aisles of hand-made
items by one of the largest "captive" groups of artists and
craftsmen. Purchase sourveniers of your stay at the
Rodeo and enjoy some southern cooking by the resident
staff !!
2 PM LETS RODEO ! Get your seat for this fast-paced, action-
packed rodeo (Angola Style)! Rodeo will end between
4 and 4:15 PM. Board the bus for the return trip.
4:45PM - Depart Angola Prison. "Friends" met on-site are not
allowed to depart with us! Relax with a refreshing
beverage as we head back to New Orleans stopping in
Baton Rouge for dinner ( between 630 and 645 PM).
8 PM Depart for New Orleans. Arriving back at JohnPauls at
9 PM. Stop in and have a night-cap at JohnPauls -
LSGRA's HOME BAR and Corporate Sponsor !
Beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase on the bus with "last call" approximately 30 minutes outside the prison grounds.
